Countdown lights to replace red man in NSW

THE familiar red flashing man is getting the flick at more than 30 intersections around NSW, in a push for pedestrian safety. HE will be replaced with yellow countdown timers, in a $1.5 million investment announced by the NSW government on Wednesday.
