CANBERRA’S suburb, Crace has been identified as the fasted growing suburb in Australia.
The population in the suburb which sits north of Canberra, grew 57 per cent in the past financial year – the fastest level of population growth during the period.
The suburb is about 13 kms from Canberra’s CBD.

Pictures taken by geospatial mapping and visual analytics company nearmap have delivered a bird’s eye view of how the landscaped has transformed dramatically in the suburb in just a couple of years.
The suburb started out as bushland in 2009 but buy 2014 recorded $112 million worth of new dwellings.
Simon Crowther, CEO of nearmap, said it was interesting to get such a detailed view of the urban growth underway.
“With development projects in full swing, never has strategic planning and efficient execution been more important,’’ he said.
“Urban growth is as inevitable as progress.
“The key is planning ways to build smart infrastructure that supports a growing population efficiently and that connect communities to have better accessibility.”
